Zusammenfassung
Die logΔP/ΔV-Relation, beim menschlichen Auge in vivo mittels eines neuen Verfahrens
bestimmt, verläuft weniger steil als in Augen post enucleationem und - zumindest in
einer Anzahl von Augen - nicht linear. Friedenwalds Nomogramm wird dadurch seiner Grundlagen beraubt und demzufolge wird das Schiötz-Tonometer
- und alle Tonometer, deren Meßvorgang mit einer Volumsverschiebung von mehr als 1
μl einhergeht - unbrauchbar.
Summary
The logΔP/ΔV-relation curve, as established in human eyes in vivo by new clinical
procedure, is shallower than when measured on enucleated eyes and, at least in a number
of eyes, not linear. Thus the bases of Friedenwald's nomogram are no longer valid and, consequently, the Schiötz tonometer - and all other
tonometers inducing volume displacements of more than 1 μl - are useless.
